Competitive Cross Country
This week we had the trill of having the cross country. The teacher was taking the roll while I was in the chair shaking with nerves. We Started to walk to wear we would race we were all nerves as we arrived We had to sit on a tar-pollen.
The nerves we terrible It was like a disease that was cured when you finished the race. It did't help when we were also the last race and we had to wait hours. I was on the tarp nearly peeing my pants as we were called to come up with are race in ten minutes. We ran to the soccer goal for a warm up as people tried their hardest to maybe try intimidate as so we would not be confident. We were stretching doing arm circles, lunges and over warm up drilled. The year 5 boys went Then the year 5 girls went I looked over my shoulder as I new Mrs Hansen was going to call us up.
We went up to the line as I was shaking like I was in Antarctic. On you makes, Go! all of as raced of as I was in the lead with Ethan. Ethan and I were head to head for the first 500 meters then I started to get my rhythm and went off ahead of Ethan. I was about to have done my first lap as every one who were there cheered me on. I could't help but smile I had a grin from check to check. I was in the lead as my brother was mashing and he gave my a high five. I was near the finish as I scatter to the end. I gasped for air and my heart bumped rapidly.
I congratulated the other competitors and raced to my Mum and Dad. I secured to see my parents I gave them a huge hug also my arty because she was there as well. I said" I came 1st just as well as my brother" Mum came back with" It does't matter what matters is that you tried your hardest". Thanks mum I better go now or else the teachers might get mad. We walked back to the school I honesty did't won't to walk one steep back to school but of course I had to.
