CANTAMATHS
This week for my maths I did cantamaths. On Monday we did a maths test thing. A lot of the questions were super hard. I'm with my friends Archie, Ethan and jasper.
Have you ever done cantamaths?

Speech writing
This week for Writing we have been working on your speech. My speech is about well being and what it means. Here is my first paragraph.
New Zealand has one of the highest domestic violence rates. On average, 13 New Zealand women are killed by their partners each year; in 2017, there were more than 120,000 police call outs for family violence, 328 each day; one every four minutes.
These facts are not exactly correct because a lot of Domestic violence meaning violence in your own home are not reported to the police. Why is this. Also New Zealand is one of the world leaders in obesity. In 2018/19 around 1 in 3 adults (aged 15 years and over) were obese (30.9%) also around 1 in 9 children (aged 2–14 years) were obese (11.3%) Why is this, we live in one of the most beautifulest country's in the world yet we lead in Domestic violence and obesity.
What do think about New Zealand leading in Domestic violence and obesity.
Cyber Smart
This week for Cyber Smart we were learning about what makes a great blog comment. We used a site called biteable. Here is a video on how to make a blog comment.
https://biteable.com/watch/recruitment-copy-2673675
Do you know how to use Biteable?
Hard hitting statistics.
Over the last 15 years the number of childhood deaths have been halved.
17,000 fewer children die each day than in 1990
More than six million children still die before their fifth birthday each year
Children born in poverty are almost twice as more likely to die before the age of 5 than a child from a wealthy family.
Rhetorical questions
Do you won’t people to die from bad health?
Do you care about the well being of others?
How would you like it if you were in poverty and you are close to dying because of your health?
Could you help people recover from a disease?
